Join Pastor Pat Jones and Pastor Ken Nash on a spiritual journey of a lifetime.  Visit the synagogue at Capernaum, headquarters for Jesus' ministry in the Galilee.  Be amazed by the view from the topof Mt. Carmel looking over the Valley of Armageddon. 






Walk through the oasis at En Gedi, the area where David hid out while being chased by King Saul.  The waterfall at the head of the trail is amazing.  Traverse the 1300 ft to the top of Masada by cable car.  This is the place of martyrdom for over 900 Jews in rebellion against Rome from 70 AD to 73 AD.  Herod built a magnificent palace in the middle of the desert.  Perhaps you will catch a glimpse of an Ibex.


Walk where Jesus did in the Old City.  Pray at the Western Wall and in the Garden of Gethsemane.  Wade through the waters of Hezekiah's tunnel, dug by hand through solid rock 2700 years ago.  Sit and meditate at the Garden Tomb, remembering the sacrifice of our Lord, but also His resurrection power.

Cost:  Roughly $4000 per person.  We will post a land cost soon and each person will be responsible for their own flight.  We will help to arrange flights if desired.  Total price will be determined by flight cost.


Included in land cost:
All travel in country on a deluxe tour bus; all lodging (13 nights); full buffet breakfasts and dinners; all tips and gratuities; travel insurance (medical, lost luggage, NOT cancellation); entrance fees.

Not included:  Lunches ($8-$12 per day if desired); baptismal garb ($10); personal items and drinks. 



Most hotels have wifi available.  We suggest you contact your phone company for international options while traveling to Israel.  An emergency number will be made available for you to give to your family.  Also, this blog will be posted on daily so family and friends can follow the trip each day.

An initial non-refundable deposit of $300 is due by May 31, 2018.  The remainder of the funds will be due by January 1, 2019.

God’s Special Mountain

It feels like God has some geographic bias.  We read about Mt. Horeb that God gave the Law there, and later refreshed and redirected a depressed Elijah.  Earlier in our trip, we learned that just as Peter gave his confession of Jesus being the Christ at the foot of Mt. Hermon, outside of Bania (Caesarea Philippi), so also Jewish tradition holds that it was up on Mt. Hermon that God made the covenant with Abraham.  We also believe that the “very high mountain” that was the site of the transfiguration was also on the same mountain.  Today, we visited another place of God’s geographic bias:  the Temple Mount. Final Day

It is hard to believe that this is our last full day in Israel.  Early tomorrow morning we head for the airport and home.  This has been a wonderful group, working together well and caring for each other. Thank you.  It’s been an honor to travel with you. We had a free morning.  Final shopping, resting, packing, running the wall the hard way, all were experienced.  Yes, Dennis was roaming again.  (Sorry Dennis, had to get that in somewhere. 😂😉) Nir arrived at 1:00 p.m.  We went a few blocks away to a park in which is located the family tomb for the family of King Herod the Great.  It was a magnificent tomb complex at one time, and still retains the stone to roll across the entrance and a cave complex. A Modern Day Connection of the Past With the Future

Thursday began with most of us having had a really good night’s sleep.  Following a wonderful breakfast, we loaded our bus (Driver’s name is “Shimshon” or Samson) and headed for the Palmach Museum.  The Palmach, military wing of the Haganah, were an Israeli strike force trained by the British during World War Two.  The story told at the museum follows a group of young people who were part of a youth movement and were trained as soldiers in a Kibbutz.  It follows their journey through the war of Independence, through the losses and the wins.  It shows the courage, faith and determination it took to see the nation re-established according to God’s prophetic word.
